Alice is Missing on Kickstarter!
Since the last time we got together, Hunters Entertainment announced and launched our latest game to Kickstarter - Alice is Missing. From the creative mind behind Icarus: A Storytelling Game About How Great Civilizations Fall, comes Spenser Starke’s next project Alice is Missing, a silent role-playing game about the disappearance of Alice Briarwood, a high school junior in the small town of Silent Falls. Developed by Hunters Entertainment and published & distributed by Renegade Game Studios, Alice Is Missing is a unique kind of roleplaying game in which players only communicate using their phones, sending text messages to each other as they unearth clues about what happened to Alice.
Alice Is Missing runs over a single session of 2-3 hours, with 3-5 players. In the first 45 minutes, players create their characters, their relationships to Alice, and their ties with each other. The next 90 minutes are spent uncovering secrets and unearthing clues in an attempt to discover where Alice is, and who is behind her disappearance.
Though text messages seem to be the most common mode of communication in our modern era, they are rarely utilized as a storytelling medium. The integration of texting into the gameplay unlocks a brand new way to play RPGs that is unlike anything you’ve likely experienced before. It’s personal, immersive, and perfect for remote play.

Free Content Friday 2020 May Releases!
On to June and the time is upon us for the next release of our Free Content Friday 2020 run! Here is a quick breakdown if you're new to this:
Free Content Friday is a program at Hunters Entertainment where we collaborate with industry veterans and members of our amazing community to bring fresh and free content to our games. In 2020 we've been very pleased to grow the program to include Outbreak: Undead.., Kids on Bikes, Icarus, and Overlight (via our partners at Renegade Game Studios)! So, what are we bringing you this time?
This month for Outbreak: Undead.. we are leaving the shores of the United States and making our way out to Australia in "Outbreak at Echidna Ridge"! Not only will this release give you a terrifying scenario to test your survival plans against, it is also bringing you all new Beasts local to the region as well as some new Survivor Archetypes for Gamemasters to use for their NPCs, all from the talented mind of Lauren E. Mitchell. Will you be able to make it out of this wildlife sanctuary alive, better put your plan to the test!
This month for our Powered by Kids on Bikes line we have something pretty special for you fans of Teens in Space as we explore "The Ties That Bind"! Developed by game designers Jonathan Gilmour and Doug Levandowski, this striking bit of content had been intended for the core book but had to be cut before going to print as it needed more testing. Well, we've got everything tested up and ready for you now, so come explore The Bind with us in greater detail!
Next up for Icarus we are back with a brand new Setting Suggestion for you to try out, giving you yet another fantastical world to watch rise and fall! As usual this has been put together by developer Spenser Starke, and in this release we'll be off to explore "The Future West" as the Wild West of old meets the technological near future. Take your friends off to yet another unique world this weekend!
Finally we have our Overlight offering for you, and this month's Seeds of Berkhan features information on helpful NPCs to help those seeking guidance on Banyan. In this installment in particular we explore in some detail "The Dust Mother". Bring even more depth to the world of your home games with this fantastic sample of lore!
That covers this month's new free content that you can download over on DriveThruRPG (and it is available right now), but don't forget that you can also get involved by creating content for the program. Just send an email to Alex with a pitch for a content release, and if we approve the idea you'll get to work it up professionally with the team and be paid for your work! We look forward to working with you.
So we had a smaller update for you this month, but we'd love to see you at Renegade Con - Virtual this weekend. Until next we meet stay healthy and stay safe. We're all in this together!
