The Final Stretch!
Welcome back to the Hunters Gathering Blog! With October upon us we are now entering the last quarter of 2020, and what an absolutely crazy year it has been. We've still got a number of interesting things for all of you before this year closes, though, as we continue our efforts to bring some more light into the world. I think at this point you are all probably starting to learn the drill here, unless you're just recently joining us, but as normal we wanted to take just a quick moment to invite you to come connect with the team and community on our official social pages:
Hunters at Renegade Con Virtual!
As a part of our ongoing partnership, Hunters Entertainment is pleased to announce we will be participating in Renegade Con Virtual - Fall! The show will be coming up next weekend (as of the posting of this blog) on October 9 - 11. For our part, we will have our outstanding team of Action Rangers (our official Convention GM Team) on hand running a load of demos for you to enjoy playing in. On top of that, we're arranging a special episode of our Hunters Gathering Live show for that weekend which will be centered on Gods of Metal: Ragnarock including a chat with the team and a little bit of a live play following!

Hunters at Roll20 Con!
You'll have one more chance to hang out Convention style with us for this year (and month), as Hunters Entertainment will be participating in Roll20 Con 2020! This show is going to be taking place October 23 - 25. As we normally do, we'll have our Action Rangers on hand to run demos of our games for you, and show off all the cool things we have worked on with Roll20 over the course of this year. We're also planning some special streaming offerings for the show, including both live play experiences and a panel with the team! We'll make an announcement on our Official Discord Server with details on events in the coming days, so be sure to drop in.
At this time, Roll20 has not yet updated their website to reflect the upcoming show, but be sure to keep your eyes on their site for more details in the coming days. We hope to see you all there!
Official Hunters Entertainment Programming!
The official Hunters Entertainment Twitch Channel continues on and is growing by the week, as we produce TWO shows of original content for our viewers. If you weren't aware of all this, or you just wanted some more details in general, here is a quick breakdown of what shows we are running:
Hunters Presents - Tuesdays @ 6p PT / 9p ET This series is focused on live play gaming, and featuring the outstanding regular cast of Markeia McCarty, May Leigh Damage, Luis Carazo, and Michelle Nguyen Bradley playing your favorite Hunters Entertainment games. The show airs live every Tuesday night on Hunters Twitch, is available for subscriber Video on Demand immediately following the live stream, and then uploaded a week later to our YouTube Channel for general viewing! That means if you have been wanting to see our games in action, you need not look any further for the best on offer!
We've already had some amazing shows (now available on YouTube) such as Outbreak: Undead.. Strain Series: ZOMBV - Year 0. This series featured Gamemaster B. Dave Walters guiding our outstanding cast of survivors in a 4-Part survival horror tale. Or how about our 3-Part neon-noir world, Altered Carbon - Osaka Eternal, featuring our normal cast and Gamemaster Xander Jeanneret with special guest player Gabe Hicks. After that we had our cast embark on a 2-Part strange adventure, Kids on Bikes - Autumn Rites, where we ushered in the upcoming season with a wicked brew cooked up by the outstanding Gamemaster Mika Midgett.

Show Two: Hunters Gathering - Fridays @ 6p PT / 9p ET
A video variation of the very news you're reading now (though that doesn't mean we always cover the same content in both, of course). Join our wonderful host, Markeia McCarty, who goes into all manner of details related to game design, product production, and the shows from Hunters Entertainment. We've been interviewing developers, talking about our design process (at least, what we can talk about), live artist illustration, and so much more!
This is a show that we like to change it up a bit from week to week, so you never know just what amazing things are happening around the bonfire every Friday evening. We often like to make our live viewers a part of the show in various ways, so don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to hang out with some of your favorite people in the games industry!
Free Content Friday 2020 October Releases!
We've had a load of amazing content come out this year already, and it is time for the next release of our Free Content Friday 2020 run! Here is a quick breakdown if you're new to this, followed by an overview of the releases this month:
Free Content Friday is a program at Hunters Entertainment where we collaborate with industry veterans and members of our amazing community to bring fresh and free content to our games. In 2020 we are very pleased to be growing the program to include Outbreak: Undead.., Kids on Bikes, Icarus, and Overlight (via our partners at Renegade Game Studios)! So, what are we bringing you this time?
For Outbreak: Undead.. we worked up a bit of a community request to fill your needs this month! Step "Out of the Ashes" with our lead developer, Christopher J. De La Rosa, bringing you an in-depth walkthrough of constructing a scenario for the game using the various mechanics presented in the core rules of the game. On top of that, also included are some brand new gameplay content for you to make use of in your survival horror stories!
With our Powered by Kids on Bikes line we are getting a little magical this month with some content for Kids on Brooms! For this release we are joining developer Doug Levandowski for a deep dive into Creature creation via excerpts from "Professor Bharadwaj’s Book of Beasts" to add mythical critters to your wizarding worlds. With example stat blocks for a few critters mixed with the guidance in how to devise your own creations, this is a wonderful relic for any aspiring GM!
We have more civilizations to explore in Icarus as we bring you another brand new Setting Suggestion right from our own community! Head to Europe in post World War II as an industrial revolution reaches the city of Icarus in "The Eastern Front," lovingly crafted by our wonderful community member Maeglin Lossehelin. Get dirty and gritty in this society before it collapses under the weight of their failings and missteps!
Last, though certainly not least, we have even more great Overlight content for you, continuing the Seeds of Berkhan with "Under Lock and Key!" Inside these pages you will learn about the Lock Wardens and the Keysmith's Guild who frequent the city of Haark. Illuminate your world just a bit more with these fascinating keepers of latch, bolt, and key!

The last item that we want to touch on today is letting you know that our long awaited Merch has finally launched! That's right, you'll now have the ability to sport the look of your favorite games and show that you are a proud member of the Hunters Entertainment Community! We'll have new items on offer on a weekly rotation, so if you don't see something you want right now be sure to check back every Monday to see what new collection we are putting out.
